IV Infusion Nutrition
League City Spine & Sports Medicine
What is IV Nutrition therapy?
IV nutrition (or infusion) is an efficient way of delivering vitamins, minerals, and hydration directly into the bloodstream. You may have already experienced IV infusion therapy if you’ve ever had a hospital stay to make sure you were hydrated and to have other medications delivered quickly into your bloodstream. Infusions can assist with immune strengthening, hangovers, low energy and much more!
At League City Spine & Sports Medicine, we offer the following IV Infusions:
- Combo (Immunity + Wellness)
IV Nutrition delivers a range of health and wellness benefits, including but not limited to:
- Treating common nutrient deficiencies by bypassing the GI system
- Cleansing the body of toxins and free radicals
- Increased energy levels
- Provide adequate hydration
- Relief from hangover symptoms
How it works
The length of IV infusion takes about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the selection of your infusion combination. The therapy is performed in a reclining chair, blankets are provided if needed. You may bring any reading materials or your smart devices to entertain you during your therapy.
A nurse practitioner inserts an IV into a suitable vein, usually in the arm. A tube will connect it to an IV bag holding the infusion combination. The bag will be hung so gravity slowly drips the solution into your bloodstream. You will receive plenty of fluids, so don’t be alarmed if you need to use the bathroom following your procedure. Once the infusion fully dispenses, the IV will be removed, and your treatment is complete.
