About League City Spine & Sports Medicine
Our providers
League City Spine and Sports Medicine is a medically integrated chiropractic clinic. This means we have a team of providers all working together to provide our patients comprehensive care. Our team includes a medical director, who is an interventional pain management physician, nurse practitioners with additional training in medical weight loss and ultrasound guided joint injections and chiropractors with advanced certifications in taping, rehab exercises, acupuncture and sports medicine. Our clinic focuses on all non-surgical injuries to the spine, muscles and joints.
What you can expect on your first visit
On the first day, our primary goal is to determine the cause of your pain and the best course of treatment. We do this by taking a thorough history and performing a complete examination of the injured area. For the vast majority of our patients, we will then provide a specific plan and begin treatment that same day. When we begin care, we will outline a plan that includes ways to immediately reduce your pain, home exercises and stretches to complement our care and eventually establish a rehab strategy to make sure your injury has completely resolved.
If during your exam process it is determined that your condition requires additional imaging (x-ray or MRI) prior to beginning care, our providers will order those tests. Once we review the imaging, we will either begin our treatment or coordinate expedited referrals to our network of trusted specialists.
Many of our patient’s injuries are complicated by being overweight. If you are looking for ways to lose weight or wanting to focus on eating better for health, our team has a variety of options that can help. These include diet modification, detox programs, nutrition supplements and traditional medical weight loss involving medication.
